What I'm doing now

Last updated August 11, 2026, from my home in Maryland.

Summer Reading

I am taking advantage of my commute to and from work to finish books that have been collecting dust on my shelf, along with audiobooks I have had for a while. I am currently reading two at once:

So far I have completed Trillion Dollar Coach by Eric Schmidt, Jonathan Rosenberg, and Alan Eagle, and listened to It Doesn’t Have to Be Crazy at Work by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson and The Art of Action by Stephen Bungay.

Shape Up: Cycle 2

I am working on personal projects in six week cycles, inspired by Shape Up.

In Cycle 2, my bet is the TVLens recommender. I am building its first layer, the engine that connects shows through the people who made them.

Alongside the project, I am writing a log for 80 days called the 80-Day Project. It will be a daily log of what I built and what I learned. It lives on TVLens’s own site, with the decisions behind the build, so the record belongs to the project rather than to me.

This is a now page, and if you have your own site, you should make one, too.
